About me

I grew up in San Francisco’s Mission District, an urban kid in love with the rush of street traffic and sirens, and sidewalks filled with all strata of humanity. I greeted passers by as equals without judgement - and most did the same for me. In my teens I began hanging out with local artists and musicians, who welcomed me into The Mission art and music scene. My love of keyboard and soundscapes flourishes today as I am surrounded by musicians and artists in the Fillmore District where I can hear live Jazz or just jam with friends.

My mom’s an artist, and perhaps her creative bent helped her to trust that a full-blown person would emerge from the lump of clay that she was given. Public school teachers and specialists gave me the benefit of the doubt, and trusted that this kid with a different gait and thought process had the capability to become an intelligent and capable human being. They tell me I’ve surpassed all expectations by living my own life in my own apartment and by being out there - everywhere - across this lively city pursuing friendships and interests. Sure, I need a helping hand to accomplish life, but don’t we all benefit from a little assist now and then?

This website is here for two reasons: to showcase my music and soundscapes, and help other artists and families better understand a person like me with Mowat-Wilson Syndrome.
